NY multispecialty ASC hosts grand opening: 4 key points

The grand opening for Port Jefferson Surgery Center in Port Jefferson Station, N.Y., occurred earlier this month, according to a Greater Port Jefferson report.

Here are four things to know.

1. The ASC opened Jan. 9 but held the grand opening ceremony in May.

2. The 16,000-square-foot surgery center opened its doors to the public, allowing attendees to tour the facility.

3. Port Jefferson Surgery Center is a partnership between 19 community surgeons, Mather Hospital and Pinnacle III. The facility has six operating rooms and hosts orthopedics, ophthalmology, general surgery and neurosurgery, among other specialties.

4. Since opening its doors, the physician owners report a steady increase in appointments.
