Northwest Community Health pushing forward plans to open ASC — 5 takeaways

Northwest Community Healthcare is moving forward with its plans to open an ASC in Arlington Heights, Ill., after the Illinois Health Faculties and Services Review Board reported the hospital successfully completed its application for the outpatient center, according to Journal-Topic.

Here are five takeaways:

1. At the ASC, patients will be able to receive colonoscopy and endoscopy procedures.  

2. The 3,600-square-foot facility will house two exam rooms.

3. Northwest's ASC will be open for use for 15,000 hours per year and will cost $2,829,568.

4. Before the facility opens, the hospital needs to obtain several more approvals.

5. Northwest aims to complete construction this year and open the ASC by late summer or early fall.
