NorthPointe Surgery Center opens after 2+ years — 5 takeaways

Roscoe, Ill.-based NorthPointe Surgery Center opened its doors after more than two years of planning and waiting on regulatory approval, according to Beloit Daily News.

Here are five takeaways:

1. Prior to opening its doors, the Illinois Health Facilities Review Board had to approve the surgery center, which is located on the NorthPointe Health and Wellness Campus.

2. Construction on the $15.27 million ASC began in April 2016.

3. NorthPointe Surgery Center is 30,939 square feet.

4. The multispecialty ASC offers services including podiatry, pain management, orthopedics, ophthalmology, gastrointestinal, facial plastics and ENT.

5. The ASC is equipped with 24 staff members and three orthopedic surgeons.
