NorthPointe Health & Wellness Campus in Roscoe, Ill., a part of Beloit Health System, failed to receive a certificate of need for a $1.4 million freestanding emergency care center, but the provider is now proposing a $16.3 million ambulatory surgery center project, according to an rrstar.com report.
The proposal calls for 32,000 square feet that would house the ASC and physician offices.
The Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board issued an "intent to deny" the health system's application, but a final decision will not be issued until this spring, according to the report.
