New York management groups partner to purchase North Carolina properties

Three New York-based management groups partnered to acquire three properties in Winston-Salem, N.C., for $9.85 million, the Winston-Salem Journal reports.

The properties include Novant Health's Winston-Salem Dermatology & Surgery Center and Intensive Diabetes Management clinics, a Novant Health rheumatology and arthritis clinic, and a different mixed-use development.

Real estate value analyst John Boyd said medical facility real estate is a hot commodity in the Winston-Salem area right now. Mr. Boyd said, "Strong economic, demographic and technological drivers are in all places now, providing strong tailwinds to the growing healthcare REIT activity being seen now in the Triad."

He added that growing demand for outpatient medical space will only continue as hospitals transition to patient-centered care.
