New York firm buys ASC operator: 4 things to know

New York private equity firm Cortec Group’s Eyeconic Vision Partners, its portfolio company, purchased Phoenix-based Swagel-Wootton Hiatt Eye Center, according to PE Hub Network.

Here are four things to know:

1. SWH operates one ophthalmology ASC in addition to two clinics.

2. SWH’s providers specialize in refractive cataract surgery and other advanced surgical methods.

3. The deal marks EVP’s first purchase since it finalized a recapitalization with Cortec Fund VI in December 2016.

4. EVP  operates six ASCs and 13 clinics.
