New Orleans Surgery Center Opened by Department of Veterans Affairs

A new same-day surgery center has been opened in New Orleans by the Department of Veterans Affairs, according to a report by the New Orleans CityBusiness.

The new Ambulatory Procedure Unit is an addition to addition to the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Health Care System.

 

It features three operating rooms and will only see cases with procedures that can be performed in under 90 minutes and require less than a 24-hour stay, according to the report.
