New Hand Center in Houston to Feature Surgery Center

Methodist Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, based in Houston, has opened a new advanced hand center on its Willowbrook campus in Houston that will include a surgery center, according to a news release.

The surgery center is schedule to open late spring.

 

The hand center is directed by hand and upper extremity specialist Korsh Jafarnia, MD. It features an indoor throwing lane and cage, hand therapy stations and specialized teams of hand therapists, licensed trainers and medical assistants. The center also features digital x-rays, electrodiagnostic tests, MRIs, CT scans and bone scans.

 

Physicians will perform procedures for common and complex hand, wrist and elbow injuries and conditions.
