New Connecticut Surgery Center Opens in Glastonbury

A new ambulatory surgery center opened in Glastonbury, Conn., in May 2010, according to Chuck Owen, principal of Healthcare Venture Professionals.

HVP obtained the certificate of need and led the development and management of the ASC. Glastonbury Surgery Center is a 50/50 joint venture with Hartford Hospital and a group of orthopedic surgeons.

 

It had a successful AAAHC inspection and received three-year accreditation.
