Alpharetta, Ga.-based Surgical Information Systems has launched SIS Scribe, an AI-powered transcription tool designed to help ASCs complete operative notes faster and reduce delays in the billing cycle, according to a June 17 news release.
The tool uses AI to interpret complex medical and surgical terminology in real time, reducing transcription errors and the need for physician review and editing.
SIS said faster operative note completion allows ASCs to begin the billing process earlier, helping reduce days in accounts receivable. SIS supports more than 2,900 ASCs.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
