Montefiore Health System opens new eye surgery center: 4 things to know

Montefiore Health System, based in the Bronx, N.Y., has opened a new eye surgery center at its Westchester Square Campus. Here are four things to know about the new center.

1. Montefiore’s department of ophthalmology and visual sciences opened the new center at the Westchester campus in the Bronx, N.Y.

2. The new facility has five operating rooms, each equipped with the same technology. The center is available for use by all Montefiore ophthalmologists.

3. The eye surgery center will host procedures including cataract surgery, retinal surgery, advanced cornea surgeries, amniotic membrane patch grafting and more.

4. The center is also staffed with experienced anesthesiologists and nurses familiar with eye care.
