Missouri hospital to begin $7.5M same-day surgery, outpatient expansion — 5 insights

Northwest Medical Center of Albany (Mo.) plans to break ground on renovations this week, KTTN reports. Here are five insights:

1. Announced in August 2017, the renovation is a joint venture between Mosaic Life Care and Northwest Medical Center Foundation.

2. The hospital’s same-day surgery, outpatient and emergency services will undergo expansion.

3. Mosaic pledged $4.5 million for the project and set aside an additional $1 million for new equipment at the hospital. The Northwest Medical Center Foundation will provide $3 million for the expansion.

4. Once construction is completed, the hospital will operate under the Mosaic Life Care brand.

5. The partnership with Mosaic will give Northwest Medical Center of Albany access to the Mayo Clinic Care Network.
