MidState Medical Center seeks majority stake in Milford Surgery Center — 3 details

Meriden, Conn.-based MidState Medical Center applied for a certificate of need to take majority ownership of Milford (Conn.) Surgery Center.

Three quick details:

1. Milford Surgery Center is currently 85 percent owned by physicians and 15 percent owned by Avon, Conn.-based Constitution Surgery Alliance, an ASC management company.

2. MidState Medical Center, part of Hartford (Conn.) Healthcare Corp., wants to buy a 51 percent stake in the ASC for $1,502,735.

3. The target acquisition date is Oct. 1.
