Michigan’s Harper University Hospital Opens New Bariatric Surgery Center in Southfield

Detroit Medical Center’s Harper University Hospital has announced the grand opening of another bariatric surgery center, according to a PR Web report.

The hospital will open Harper Bariatric Medicine Institute in Southfield, Mich., on Thursday, May 24. Harper BMI offers patients with a BMI of 40 or higher laparoscopic weight loss options, such as the Lap-Band, Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, the REALIZE adjustable gastric band and sleeve gastrectomy.

The medical staff of Harper BMI includes Michael Wood, MD, Steven Hendrick, MD, John Webber, MD, David Edelman, MD, and Matthew Weiner, MD.
