Michigan hospital opens expanded outpatient center — 3 insights

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland Hospital opened its Waterford (Mich.) Medical Complex, a $2.4 million outpatient expansion, on June 13, Crain’s Detroit Business reports.

What you should know:

1. St. Joseph opened the 14,400-square-foot facility to offer adult and pediatric medicine services. The facility also features an urgent care center.

2. The medical complex includes 33 exam rooms and a trauma bay that will offer several outpatient services, including minor surgical procedures.

3. Ann Arbor, Mich.-based St. Joseph’s Health System has more than a dozen outpatient facilities.
