Mercy planning to build ASC in Iowa — 4 things to know

Mercy Medical Center plans to build an ambulatory surgery center in Hiawatha, Iowa, according to the Gazette.

Here are four things to know:

1. The outpatient center is projected to open in the spring of 2016.

2. Mercy Medical Center will lease the third floor of the Hiawatha Medical Park for the center.

3. There are currently discussions underway about providing additional services on the first floor of the center as an extension of the clinic’s services.

4. The facility will consist of three-stories and will include an eye care clinic in addition to the outpatient center.
