LifeBridge’s Carroll Hospital Center acquisition leads to $250M ambulatory care center, other projects

As part of LifeBridge Health’s acquisition of Carroll Hospital Center in Westminster, Md., LifeBridge plans to invest $250 million in upgrades to the hospital, including a neonatal care unit and an ambulatory care center, according to a Baltimore Business Journal report.

According to Leslie Simmons, CEO of Carroll, the timeline to build is within two or three years, reports Baltimore Business Journal.

The report also notes that independent hospitals like Carroll often struggle most, and this larger network will see the hospital keep its board and leadership while also gaining the support of the “area’s fourth-largest health system.”
