Lahey Hospital and Medical Center ER to become endoscopy center: 3 things to know

Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Clinic Foundation earned approval to convert a former emergency room at Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Hospital and Medical Center into an endoscopy center, the Daily Times Chronicle reported.

 Here are three details to know:

1. The current endoscopy suite at Lahey Hospital and Medical Center will be relocated to the ER space.

2. Modifications to the building’s exterior include new windows, doors, a canopy and a vestibule.

3. The change was approved in a 5-0 vote by the planning board.
