Lafayette General Medical Center officially opens ASC

Lafayette (La.) General Medical Center began a $52.5 million expansion project two years ago. Now, the hospital has opened its new ambulatory surgery center and emergency department, according to an ABiz report.

The ASC has seven preoperative beds, four operating rooms and 12 postoperative beds, according to the report. The center performs procedures in specialties such as ENT, ophthalmology, plastic surgery and pain management.
