KKR completes Envision (AmSurg) acquisition & more — 6 ASC company key notes

Here are updates on six ASC companies and industry-relevant companies and organizations to note:

KKR completed its acquisition of Nashville, Tenn.-based Envision (AmSurg) Healthcare.

Envision Healthcare bought Villanova, Penn.-based Nova Anesthesia Professionals.

Brentwood, Tenn.-based Surgery Partners plans to raise $115 million in incremental term loans to fund acquisition activity. Read more.

Nashville-based HCA Healthcare donated $1 million to the American Red Cross to assist with Hurricane Michael recovery efforts.

The Texas Department of Insurance fined Humana $700,000 for not maintaining enough physician anesthesiologists in three counties. Read more.

CMS announced 1,299 entities agreed to participate in the agency's bundled payment initiative for certain episodes of care under the Bundled Payments for Care Improvement – Advanced Model.

Hauppauge, N.Y.-based SightMD entered into a strategic partnership with West Babylon, N.Y.-based Lindenhurst Eye Physicians & Surgeons.
