Kansas health system finalizes surgical building acquisition

Topeka-based The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus acquired the Tallgrass Surgical Building in Topeka, local news affiliate WIBW reports.

The Tallgrass building has one procedure room and three operating rooms. Physicians provide general surgery, gynecology, ophthalmology, orthopedic surgeon and pain management services, among others, at the building.

“By becoming part of the St. Francis Campus, we will offer our patients and surgeons seamless access to the resources of a major hospital and will improve the coordination of care across all settings,” said Tallgrass President Benedict Figuerres, MD.
