Island Eye Surgicenter breaks ground on new facility: 5 facts

Carle Place, N.Y.-based Island Eye Surgicenter broke ground on a new facility, according to healthcare design.

Here are five facts:

1. Island Eye Surgicenter is building the facility on a 3.5-acre site in Westbury, N.Y.

2. The 27,000-square-foot center will house six operating rooms and 15 patient areas.

3. The center will also have a waiting room, administrative office, a 12-bed recovery room, a staff lounge and patio.

4. Talisen Construction is leading the construction, which is expected to be completed by this summer.

5. Hardaway Sziabowski Architects is the lead architect.
