The hospital’s parent company, Lehigh Valley Health Network, already owned 78 percent of the freestanding ambulatory surgery center prior to the acquisition.
The acquisition means the ASC will change from a for-profit business to a non-profit entity of Lehigh Valley Health Network.
The network is planning renovations and upgrades of the surgery center.
