Investment trust acquires medical campus with ASCs, children's hospital for $9.6M — 3 insights

Carter Validus Mission Critical REIT II acquired a medical campus in Silverdale, Wash., with two surgery centers for $9.6 million.

Here's what you should know:

1. Surgery Center of Silverdale and Retina Center Northwest occupy 67 percent of the building's 26,000 square feet.

2. Surgery Center of Silverdale specializes in general surgery, orthopedics, podiatry, ocular and facial plastic surgery, pain management and ophthalmology. The retina center specializes in retinal detachment repair, general eye surgery and vitreoretinal surgery.

3. Before the property was acquired, Seattle Children's Hospital entered into a lease to open a facility in whatever remaining space was available. With this announcement, the campus is 100 percent leased.
