Peoria (Ill.) Ambulatory Surgery Center gained state approval to change its ownership structure.
Three insights:
1. The $2 million transaction will shift a degree of operational control of the ASC from Carl W. Soderstrom, MD, to Soderstrom Primary Holdings and Soderstrom Super Holdings. It is expected to close July 10.
2. Services at the ASC, which is doing business as Soderstrom Dermatology Center, won't be interrupted.
3. Dr. Soderstrom will continue providing plastic surgery, dermatology and ophthalmology services.
