Idaho hospital remodels facility with ASC inspired by Mayo Clinic

Blackfoot, Idaho-based Bingham Memorial Hospital broke ground on a facility with a surgery center in Idaho Falls, Idaho, according to abc 8.

Here are four things to know:

1. In addition to the ASC, the facility will house outpatient clinics, medical offices and a catheterization lab.

2. Bingham Memorial Hospital is opening the facility through its partnership with Cardio Renal Centers of America.

3. Through the facility, developers strive to offer patients a model similar to Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic, where they can travel to one location to meet all their healthcare needs, according to abc 8. Bingham Memorial Hospital CEO Jake Erickson said the aim is to have patients see numerous specialists in one day to obtain “answers you’ve had about your healthcare for a long time.”

4. The hospital aims to complete the facility in October 2018.
