The Hamburg (N.Y.) Industrial Development Agency issued two final approvals to build the Premier Ambulatory Surgery Center, according to Buffalo Business First.
Here are six things to know:
1. Vishal Sharma, MD, and Nisha Sharma, MD, are leaders of the Premier Ambulatory Surgery Center project.
2. The physicians plan to build the ASC as part of a 22,306-square-foot medical office building.
3. The $5.5 million program will create 10 new jobs.
4. The ASC will feature space for a 7,200-square-foot multispecialty diagnostic and treatment center as well as Sharma Ophthalmology, a radiology practice and a pharmacy.
5. The couple intends to add an urgent care center, Express Care, which will operate like an after hours, walk-in model.
6. The physicians agreed to limit surgeries initially at the ASC to ophthalmology and gastroenterology. They also agreed to give 60-days notification to the state before adding more surgeons.
