Here are nine things to know about HCA’s third quarter:
1. Revenues totaled nearly $10.7 billion, a 4.2 percent increase from the third quarter of 2016.
2. The company’s net income attributable to HCA was $426 million.
3. Adjusted EBITDA hit nearly $1.78 billion.
4. Same facility revenue per equivalent admission increased 2 percent, compared to the third quarter last year.
5. HCA’s cash flows from operations were around $1 billion.
6. Same facility equivalent admissions jumped 0.3 percent.
7. The board of directors authorized an additional share repurchase program for up to $2 billion of HCA’s outstanding common stock during the quarter.
8. For 2017, HCA expects revenues between $43 billion and $44 billion.
9. HCA operated 177 hospitals and 119 freestanding ASCs as of Sept. 30.
