Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare’s revenue is increasingly being driven by outpatient care, according to its third-quarter financial results, which were released Oct. 24:
Here are five things to know about the company’s third quarter:
- HCA Healthcare reported more than $19 billion in revenue during the third quarter of 2025, up 9.6% over the third quarter in 2024.
- In the third quarter of 2025, outpatient revenues accounted for 38.3% of total patient revenues, up slightly from the third quarter of 2024.
- The company completed more than 253,000 outpatient surgery cases in the third quarter.
- Same facility inpatient surgeries increased 1.4 percent, and same facility outpatient surgeries increased 1.1 percent in the third quarter of 2025, compared to the same period of 2024.
- HCA Healthcare supports 123 total freestanding outpatient surgery centers.
