Griffin will use the funds from Curtiss-Ryan Honda to increase the number of preoperative and postoperative rooms in an ambulatory surgery suite that was built in 2017.

The expansion will also entail a new operating room equipped for robotic surgery cases using the da Vinci Xi Surgical System, bringing the suite’s total number of ORs to seven.

“We are grateful for Curtiss-Ryan’s generous support of our surgical expansion project, which will enable us to provide our patients with more minimally-invasive robot assisted procedures for an exceptional surgical experience with faster recovery times and better outcomes,” said Richard Salzano, MD, chairman of surgery at Griffin Hospital in Derby.
