Georgia Eye Institute opens 2nd ASC: 4 points

Savannah-based Georgia Eye Institute opened Glennville (Ga.) Eye Surgery Center earlier this month, according to a Coastal Courier report.

Here are four points:

1. The surgery center is Georgia Eye Institute’s second ASC.

2. The institute opened its first outpatient surgery center, Georgia Eye Institute Ambulatory Surgery Center, in 2010 in Savannah.

3. The Glennville ASC will include six surgeons, noted GEI Clinical Director Cindy Beauvais.

4. Glennville Eye Surgery Center is Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care-accredited and Medicare-certified.
