The N.C. Medical Facilities Plan for 2010 calls for the development of three single-specialty ASCs across the state.
According to the report and the state’s certificate of need application log, the proposed ASCs are:
– Randolph Surgery Center: $1.3 million project focused on ENT in Charlotte
– Cabarrus Orthopaedic Surgery Center Holdings: $6.2 million orthopedics ASC in Kannapolis
– Cotswold Surgery Center: $3.3 million ophthalmology ASC in Charlotte
– University Surgery Center: $4.9 million orthopedics center in Charlotte
A decision on which proposed ASCs receives a CON is expected by year’s end, according to the report.
