Florida International University Health Plans New Surgery Center for Miami

Florida International University Health has announced plans to build a new complex in Miami that would house an ambulatory surgery center, according to a news release.

The 100,000-square-foot FIU HEALTH complex, to be built on FIU’s Modesto A. Maidique Campus, would house the ASC as well as an ambulatory care center and a medical office building. It is scheduled to open in 2014.

 

FIU HEALTH is comprised of all the health disciplines across Florida International University, including the Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, the College of Nursing & Health Sciences and the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work.
