Florida building converted into gastroenterology surgery center, medical office: 5 highlights

Associates in Digestive Health is settling into a newly converted medical office and surgery center in Fort Myers, Fla., according to Stevens Construction.

Five highlights:

1. A 10,545-square-foot building was renovated into a medical office and surgery center with two operating rooms equipped to handle gastroenterology procedures.

2. The building was also outfitted with a preoperative area and a sterilization room.

3. The surgery center, which occupies 4,516 square feet, is licensed by the Agency for Health Care Administration.

4. Associates in Digestive Health has an existing office in Fort Myers, as well as one in Cape Coral, Fla.

5. Stevens Construction, the company that finished the renovation, also provided construction services for Associates in Digestive Health’s Cape Coral-based surgery center in 2012 and its Cape Coral medical office building in 2014.
