Charlotte, N.C.-based Flagship Healthcare Properties has acquired an ambulatory surgery center in Panama City, Fla., expanding its Florida portfolio.
The property is home to Northwest Florida Surgery Center, a multispecialty ASC with three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.
Having served patients since 1995, the center entered a joint venture in May 2025 with Surgical Care Affiliates, AdventHealth and physician partners to strengthen outpatient surgical care in the region, according to an Oct. 1 system news release.
Northwest Florida Surgery Center offers ophthalmology, orthopedics, cardiology, ENT, pain management, plastic surgery and spine services. It was ranked among the top 10% of ASCs nationwide for ophthalmology by U.S. News & World Report in 2022.
Flagship said the acquisition aligns with its strategy to meet rising demand for outpatient procedures in growing Florida markets, according to the release.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
