Envision Healthcare is suing UnitedHealthcare after the company allegedly unilaterally lowered contracted payments to Envision physicians and refused to add new Envision physicians to its insurance network. Prior to the lawsuit, UnitedHealth Group was reportedly interested in acquiring AmSurg, Envision's ambulatory unit, but has pulled out of talks since then.
Envision Healthcare divested its American Medical Response business to a KKR affiliate for approximately $2.1 billion.

Nobilis went in-network with one of the nation's largest commercial payers for Bellaire, Texas-based First Surgical Hospital. The move is expected to have an impact on the company's 2018 revenue and could lead to additional deals in the future.
