Envision Healthcare strikes 2 deals with physician groups; Surgery Partner hits new 52-week high & more — 6 ASC company key notes

Here are six updates on ASC management companies from the past two weeks.

Envision Healthcare's physician services division acquired Connecticut-based Anesthesia Associates, an anesthesia physician group practice. Three ASCs use the group as their exclusive anesthesia provider.

Envision Healthcare's physician services division acquired Atlanta-based Northside Emergency Associates. The emergency medicine physician group offers services to three Northside Hospital Healthcare System hospitals in Atlanta.

On June 28, Surgery Partners' shares hit a new 52-week high of $24.05. The company has a 50-day moving average of $21.32, which is higher than its 200-day moving average of $19.08.

Surgical Care Affiliates' institutional sentiment fell in the fourth quarter last year. The company's institutional sentiment plummeted to 0.95.

Analysts expect Tenet Healthcare to report $0.21 earnings per share for the second quarter of fiscal year 2017. In the second quarter of 2016, Tenet posted earnings of $0.38 per share.

During the week of July 3 to July 7, Hospital Corporation of America shares fell 1.3 percent, trading at $86.33 per share.
