What you should know:
1. Effective April 1, NCEENT aligned with Duke’s ophthalmology and surgery departments, as well as Duke’s physician practice, the Private Diagnostic Clinic. NCEENT’s locations in Durham, South Durham, Cary, N.C., Chapel Hill, N.C., and Roxboro, N.C., are now part of Duke Health.
2. NCEENT’s 14 physicians are becoming Duke physicians. More than 80 NCEENT staff members will be added to the Private Diagnostic Clinic’s payroll.
3. The consolidation is intended to expand patient access to ophthalmic, optometry, ENT, audiology and speech services, Duke Health said in a press release.
