Here are four things to know:
1. Bhupinder S. Khaira, MD, partnered with NTMC to operate his office as Surgical Specialists of North Texas, providing services at his office location. NTMC will provide operational management support under the agreement.
2. The transition is expected to be seamless, and the practice will add a general surgeon offering bariatric services at some point this year. The strategic move is expected to serve patients in a rapidly growing need area.
3. Services at the center will cover abdominal surgery, including colon and rectal surgery, skin lesion and soft tissue treatment, biliary surgery and hernia repairs.
4. The collaboration expands NTMC’s footprint in the Gainesville area and provides additional medical services in the community.
