Doctors Hospital of Manteca to open outpatient surgery center — 3 notes

Doctors Hospital of Manteca (Calif.) plans to open an outpatient surgery center by March, according to Manteca Bulletin.

1. Tenet provided the hospital with a $7 million investment to build the center.

2. The outpatient center will house three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

3. Doctors Hospital of Manteca’s outpatient center reflects the larger trend of moving patients to an outpatient setting. Outpatient surgeries are projected to increase 10 percent this year compared to 2014.
