Delaware Physicians Propose Surgery Center, Medical Office Building for Newark

Physicians in Newark, Del., could build a surgery center in a two-story medical office building if the New Castle County Council approves a rezoning for the area, according to a Community News report.

Attorney Shawn Tucker, who represents the applicant, presented plans for a two-story, 19,028-square-foot medical center to the County Land Use Committee on Tuesday. Mr. Tucker said there are already two physicians interested in purchasing space in the building.

Mr. Tucker said the building could be used for physician offices or a surgery center.
