Here are four things to know:
1. SEC filings last week show the companies are working together to close the deal during the first quarter of 2019. UnitedHealth plans to acquire DaVita’s physician group, which has around 300 clinics and multiple outpatient ASCs.
2. UnitedHealth Group’s OptumHealth is now expected to pay $4.34 billion for the company.
3. OptumHealth acquired Surgical Care Affiliates last year for $2.3 billion, and for the first three quarters of 2018 generated around $18 billion in revenue.
4. In 2019, OptumHealth is expected to report $27.5 billion to $28.5 billion in revenue.
