Colorado hospital opens $20M outpatient center after delayed approval — 3 insights

Salida, Colo.-based Heart of the Rockies Medical Center opened its Outpatient Pavilion for patients May 20, the Ark Valley Voice reports.

What you should know:

1. Heart of the Rockies officials pushed back the pavilion's opening date after the state delayed an occupancy inspection.

2. The pavilion cost about $20 million.

3. The pavilion has three levels and will offer cardiology, gynecology, internal medicine, orthopedics, pain management and psychiatry services, among others.
