Capitol Pain Institute expands Midwestern ASC network through new acquisition

Nashville, Tenn.-based Capitol Pain Institute is entering the Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minn., metropolitan market through the acquisition of Edina, Minn.-based Nura Pain Clinics.

Capitol Pain Institute now serves ASCs and clinics in six states, including Colorado, Indiana, Kentucky, Ohio, Texas and Illinois. 

Nura’s founder and CEO David Schultz, MD, is known in the state for his expertise in intrathecal pain pump implants and spinal cord stimulator implants, according to a May 3 press release. 

Capitol Pain Institute is backed by private equity partner Iron Path Capital.
