California Hospital Considers Reducing Ownership in Surgery Center

El Camino Hospital, which has hospital campuses in Mountain View and Los Gatos, Calif., is in discussion with the management team of an ambulatory surgery center in Mountain View about reducing the hospital’s majority ownership position to a minority ownership, according to a report from the Los Altos Town Crier.

El Camino Hospital currently owns 51 percent of El Camino Surgical Center. The hospital management is discussing reducing its stake through the sale of shares to existing or new physicians, according to the report.

 

The ASC is a six OR facility performing procedures in specialties include ENT, GI, orthopedics, urology and ophthalmology.
