California community hospital opens surgery center to perform more specialized procedures: 4 things to know

Redlands (Calif.) Community Hospital broke ground on its new surgery center, according to Redland Daily Facts.

Here are four things to know:

1. Redlands Community Hospital Foundation’s Board of Directors’ President Jan Opdyke said the surgery center will allow the hospital to perform more specialized procedures and more procedures overall.

2. The surgery center is 8,700 square feet.

3. The hospital’s center will add four operating rooms in addition to a hybrid suite with imaging and surgical capabilities.

4. The suite also includes a biplane imaging system offering surgeons enhanced visualization during procedures.
