Caddis Health Care Real Estate purchases Manatee Surgical Center for $5.4M — 5 key notes

A Texas-based investor purchased Manatee Surgical Center in Bradenton, Fla., according to a Bradenton Herald report.

Here are five things to know about the transaction:

1. Caddis Health Care Real Estate purchased Manatee Surgical Center for $5.46 million on June 11.

2. Manatee Surgical Center is affiliated with more than 50 surgeons and opened for more than 16 years. The deal is a sale leaseback and the surgical center will continue to operate at its current location.

3. There are 17 physician owners at the surgery center, which hosts general surgery, gastroenterology, cosmetic surgery, neurosurgery and pediatric dentistry.

4. The surgical center purchase is Caddis Health's first step toward expanding into Florida. There have been several other transactions in the Manatee County area in recent months.

5. There are four operating rooms in the 13,000-square-foot facility that also includes a recovery unit, pediatric recovery suite and additional surgical recovery space.
