The new facility will include a 24,000-square-foot ambulatory surgery center with four operating rooms. The surgery center will also have a three-room gastroenterology surgery suite. Ten surgeons affiliated with Buffalo Medical Group will perform procedures in the GI suite.
The surgery center cites a need for the expansion due to an ophthalmology, orthopedic and pain management case volume increase.
Buffalo Surgery Center is a separate entity from Excelsior Orthopaedics, but it does share a few of the same owners.
