Beloit Health System breaks ground on surgery center expansion: 5 things to know

Beloit Health System broke ground on a new surgery center expansion at the NorthPointe Health and Wellness Campus in Roscoe, according to a Rockford Register report.

Here are five key notes on the center:

1. The facility expansion is expected to cost $15.3 million.

2. The expansion will add 18,772-square-feet to the first floor of the building and 12,157-square-feet to the second floor in shell space.

3. Two operating rooms, two procedure rooms and 14 pre- and postoperative patient care rooms will be added to the facility.

4. The expected completion date for the project is early 2017.

5. The surgery center is expected to create 24 full-time equivalent jobs to staff the facility when it’s open.
