Here are four things to know about the ophthalmology-driven facility.

1. Bascom Palmer’s original Naples location was 3,000-square-foot office opened 11 years ago. The new facility is 20,000 square feet and houses 22 examination rooms.

2. The new LEED-certified building cost $25 million to build.

3. The facility’s ambulatory surgery center is expected to open on the building’s second floor early next year.

4. Bascom Palmer is the ophthalmology department of the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine.
